What this gathering is for
Free Will Baptist. Planted in 1987. Same corner of Mesa ever since.
We sing from the hymnal. The pastor preaches through a book of the Bible, a passage at a time. The Lord's Supper is observed; baptism is by immersion.
East Valley Church started in 1987 when the Gwartney family drove out from Grandview, Missouri to plant a Free Will Baptist congregation in the East Valley. Thirty-nine years later we still meet on Power Road — small, neighborhood-shaped, and still doing the same thing on Sunday morning. What to expect on SundayFor the kids and teens
Nursery and children's church run during the Sunday service. AWANA meets Wednesday nights, 6:30–8:00 p.m., for K–6th grade. Teen ministry meets alongside the midweek schedule.

Ministries for every age and language
Sunday School & Adult Bible Study
All-ages classes Sundays at 9:30 a.m., feeding into the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
Wednesday Prayer & Bible Study
Adults gather midweek at 7:00 p.m. for prayer and verse-by-verse study.
AWANA Clubs
Wednesday nights, 6:30–8:00 p.m. Scripture-memory program for children K–6th grade.
Children's Ministry & VBS
Nursery and children's church during the Sunday service, plus a summer Vacation Bible School for ages 4–12.
Teen Ministry
Middle- and high-school students gather alongside the midweek schedule for study and fellowship.
